Cake Bomb

I had some leftover cake batter the other day, and I thought I would share a quick idea for an easy cake. To bake the cake, I used a 2 cup mixing bowl, greased. I filled it half-full and then baked it at 350 degrees for 28 minutes. When it came out, it had a lovely rounded top and bottom and just a slight lip around the edge, which I trimmed.
Now, if I wanted this cake bomb to be perfect, I would put it in the freezer for a few hours to harden it up. But, I was not going for perfection, so I frosted it as is.
Next, I chopped up about 1/4 cup of chocolate chips.
Then I sprinkled them on top. Voila! A fun, fast cake idea.

Yummy! My kids and I had a fun treat.
